General Meeting - Brew in a Bag and Hop flavours

Our next general meeting will be taking place at the 1000 Hills Chefs School, at 6pm, Wednesday 11th September.

Travis Boast will be demonstrating brew in a bag throughout the evening, starting heating the mash water at approximately 5:30pm, mashing around 6 and should be all done by 9.

Also Megan Gemmell will be spiking some industrial lager with hops so we can see what effect different hop types have when dry hopping. This will be an ongoing experiment with several different hop types per meeting

Can you taste it? July 10th

Sorry for the late notification.

We will be holding a general ECB meeting at the 1000 Hills Chefs School this coming Wednesday, 10th July; and we're going to have a beer tasting! There will be a selection of 9 beers, 3 each of 3 different styles. At the beginning of the night everyone will get to have a small taste of each with a brief description of it, after which each style will be brought out in glasses and compared and you get to try and determine which beer is which.

It's going to be a fun night where you test your taste buds and see if you really can tell the difference.
